Description

We offer a one-year post-doctoral position to take part to a collaborative translational project associating the University of Tours, the INSERM U1253 unit iBrain, the Labex Mabimprove, the EA4245 research team and the University Hospital of Tours. In order to increase its international partnerships, the University of Tours encourages candidates who obtained their PhD degree in a University out of France. The candidate will join the "B Cell Resources Platform" (BCR), part of EA4245 team "Transplantation, immunology and inflammation", which develops human monoclonal antibodies for diagnostic (allergy) and for therapeutics (autoimmune diseases). The project aims at identifying, producing and characterizing newly developed antibodies targeting specific neuronal cell-surface receptors involved in central nervous system diseases.

As part of his activities, the candidate will contribute to the following missions:

- to define the coherent set of biological techniques necessary for the experimental achievement of a scientific project;

- to design of the development and achievement as a specialist of a project in the field of immunology;

- to process the data analysis (analysis, interpretation and validation of the scientific results);

- to disseminate and enhance the scientific results;

- to train and supervise trainees (master and PhD students);

- to ensure a scientific and technological watch in his/her field of activities;

- to apply and enforce health and safety rules;

- to participate in the drafting of funding applications.

 

Skills

The candidate should demonstrate having the following practical skills:

Cell culture (lineages, primary cells); ELISA; Western Blot; flow cytometry; cell sorting and magnetic sorting; classical techniques of molecular biology (PCR, molecular cloning, transfection ...); purification of HPLC proteins; antibody engineering.

 



Notes
You have an initial doctoral degree in biology (obtained out of France). You are autonomous, organized, rigorous and very dynamic. You have team spirit and a good relationship skills. Having a first experience on a similar position (post-doc, fixed-term contract ...) is valuated. Experience in immunology and antibodies production highly recommended
