The Department of Basic and Clinical Sciences at the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (www.acphs.edu) is seeking candidates for a tenure-track faculty position. The primary role of this position will be to support the College’s pre-pharmacy, Microbiology and graduate Molecular Biosciences programs. It is anticipated that this position will be filled at the Assistant Professor level but well qualified candidates may be considered for advanced rank. The anticipated start date for this position is Fall of 2018.
All applicants must have a Ph.D. and relevant post-doctoral experience. Applicants are expected to have a strong publication record, defined research plan for securing extramural funding, and a commitment to teaching and research at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Preference will be given to candidates with a primary research focus in one or more of the following areas: Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or Microbiology. It is desirable that candidates have prior independent teaching experience and a research area that complements those of the department.
