Position Summary: This position is designated for students in the MSHS Histology program to continue to work on their skills in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities: Performs a variety of technical procedures that result in the creation of microscopic slide preparations. These technical procedures may include: accessioning specimens; specimen processing; microtomy techniques; paraffin, and frozen; and staining.

Qualifications: **This position is designated for students in the MSHS Histology program who graduate in the Fall of 2017**


High School Diploma. An Associate’s degree (or higher) is required within 18 months of employment.

Additional Qualifications: Computer skills preferred. Laboratory specific functions will be learned on the job.

License or Certification: HT or HTL (ASCP) certification within one year of employment.

Exemption Status: Non-exempt
Compensation Detail: Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $19.60 per hour.
Hours/Pay Period: 16
Schedule Details: 2 evenings per week from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Weekend Schedule: NA
