Lecturer Position in Biomedical Sciences

Georgia State University


The Institute for Biomedical Sciences at Georgia State University, a large urban university located in downtown Atlanta, invites applications for a non-tenure track Lecturer position pending budgetary approval. The primary responsibilities are to instruct courses during the academic year, with the possibility to teach summer classes as well. Candidates should have a strong background in translational biomedical science research and education and will be responsible for teaching courses including the following: Experimental Approaches in Biomedical Sciences, Project Management and Compliance, Scientific Communication (Critical Thinking Through Writing), and Business Aspect of Translational Medicine. Instructing specialty courses and performing research with undergraduate and graduate students are welcomed, as is participation in educational initiatives (STEM, etc.). A PhD, MD or equivalent terminal degree is required.  The position is available to start immediately and is renewable based on annual evaluations.
