(AWI) has a job opportunity for a Quality Lab Technician to be located in Pensacola, FL. Under the supervision of the Quality Customer Focus Specialist, the Quality Lab Technician is responsible for participating in and executing assigned plant quality systems and laboratory functions, such as testing and analysis of raw materials and ceiling products. Key Responsibilities of the Quality Lab Technician:
    Performing and maintaining the Fireguard containment processPerforming and maintaining UL compliance auditsAssisting with IPQA/PLIA compliance testingAssisting with product Trend Review auditsPerforming the Morning Board review process at the finishing linesPerforming and maintaining Gauge Tracking System certification, repair processes and record maintenanceMaintaining production testing equipment used for quality checks involving calibration, repairing and trackingCoordinating and shipping all quality-related test materials including completion and submission all the necessary paperworkPerforming raw material testing as assignedTracking and performing Certificate of Analysis (COA) data entryAssisting with plant project work involving production run trailsAssisting with training production operators in understanding quality procedures when neededPerform routine laboratory housekeepingSome overtime, including weekends, may be required
 Required Qualifications for the Quality Lab Technician:
    High school diploma or GEDProficiency in Microsoft Office software and Internet ExplorerPhysical Requirements:
    Ability to lift a minimum of up to 50 lbs. Standing, bending, reaching, climbing and lifting. 
  Desired Qualifications for the Quality Lab Technician:
    College coursework in Chemistry or EngineeringForklift certificationPrior quality process experience in a manufacturing environment

 About the Location (Pensacola, FL) Our Pensacola Plant, one of six Armstrong ceiling plants, employs approximately 280 people working on rotating shifts, 24/7, in the manufacture and shipment of acoustical ceiling tile to Armstrong's customers worldwide.
