 Req. ID: 94441 As a PQRA Package Lab Engineering Intern at Micron Technology, you will work with engineers responsible for physical failure analysis and quality/reliability characterization of Micron's components and PCB assemblies. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
    Performing solder joint characterization testing such as Solder Joint Reliability (IPC-9701), Board Level Drop (JESD22-B111A), Monotonic Bend Characterization (IPC/JEDEC-9702) or Solder Ball Shear (JESD22-B117B)Design of experiments, statistical data analysis and interpretation of resultsPerforming physical failure analysis; which may include Cross-Sectioning, X-Ray Analysis (2D and 3D), CSAM Analysis, or SEM Analysis.Design and program automated test equipment using LabView, Python, or similar.
  Qualifications: Successful candidates for this position will have:
    Understanding of the effects thermo-mechanical, thermal, mechanical and hygroscopic stresses on component/PCBA reliability.The ability to be self-motivated and work independently.Strong analytical and problem solving skills.Experience in the design and execution of laboratory testing/experimentation according standard procedures, make observations and interpret findings.Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed strictly at all times and maintain a clean and orderly environment.The ability to interact easily with team members from diverse technical backgrounds.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    Pursuing B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Microelectronics Engineering, or a related field.
