Job Req ID: 147614Position Number: 00162228Employment Type: Full TimeShift: Variable/On CallShift Details: Standard Hours: 40.00Department Name: IAS CORE AnalyticsLocation: CHS Corporate OperationsLocation Details:  1540 Garden Terrance   Job Summary This position is in the Center for Outcomes and Research Evaluation (CORE) division within Information and Analytics services (IAS).  This role is a vital link between the research customer base and IAS/CORE for the design and completion of key research studies, projects, and solutions. Essential Functions· Work with customer groups to capture business needs, define project scope, and elicit and analyze design requirements· Leads the creation, review, and validation of complex, custom datasets specific to the project· Prepares deliverables for customer review and facilitates data discussion and interpretation· Design and prepare standard and ad hoc reports and summaries for statistical analysis· Demonstrate strong problem solving skills· Coordinate project delivery by assisting with design reviews and walk-throughs to communicate data designs and validate proposed solutions· Must be able to clearly articulate and document project scope and design requirements to the customer and project teams· Must be able to identify and proactively resolve issues· Must possess strong communication skills to effectively manage customer relationships, change management, and drive satisfaction with research customer base· Must be able to effectively communicate with peers, management, and senior leadership· Exceptional customer service skills to leadership and customer base is essential in this position· Must possess ability to break down complex problems into manageable tasks.· Ensures successful completion of assigned projects on schedule, within budget, and in accordance within CHS standards. Physical Requirements
Work is subject to high-level visibility through verbal and written communications with senior hospital management, associated project deadlines, personnel evaluation, and counseling. Must be available for on-call support on a regular basis. Must be able to lift objects that weigh up to 35 lbs. Due to project requirements, overtime will be required, as needed.

Education, Experience and Certifications
High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related job field preferred. Experience in Microsoft Office, databases, Software Development packages, programming languages, SQR, Crystal, Unix and AIX. Experience in an educational background should have Information Systems or Business-Related internships or Part-time employment experiences. Two years work experience with IS Technology preferred. Health care industry experience preferred. The ideal candidate should be highly proficient with a variety of information systems technologies including relational-databases, programming languages (SQL, Business Intelligence, SAS) as well as general desktop applications (MS Excel, Word, Visio, Power Point).       At Carolinas HealthCare System, our patients, communities and teammates are at the center of everything we do.
