Position Summary: This Education Specialist will be working specifically on research education compliance and online learning module support and monitoring. This will include the analysis and creation of reports from multiple databases, oversight of database reports for compliance and reporting purposes, reporting/database end user support, required learning assignments, and communication to and from assigned learners. This position will also oversee the on and off site enrollment, support and maintenance of CCaTS Education online learning programs.

**This is a 2 year limited tenure role that may have the opportunity become a regular ongoing role if funding should become available.**

Responsibilities: The Research Education Specialist assists the students, faculty and CTSA Education Resources Leadership. This individual is expected to exercise initiative, exhibit organizational skills, and use problem solving and decision-making skills to perform tasks. The Research Education Specialist will work in conjunction with faculty to develop educational materials/ courses/programs for all members of the clinical research team.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required with 5 or more years of experience in education, business or health related field is required. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work with minimal direction. Proven ability to support development of education and training programs. Demonstrated strong skills in communication, problem solving and decision making. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a team supporting students and faculty.

Additional Qualifications: Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Must develop mastery of the policies and procedures related to education and training programs for students. Database experience and systems knowledge are required. Proficiency with technology and software to enhance classroom learning and manage program data is required. Must be adaptable and flexible in a changing work environment where constant learning and skill enhancement is needed. Must have excellent writing and editing skills for preparation of professional correspondence, meeting agendas and minutes. Must have the ability to independently compose correspondence including letters, e-mails and announcements that are sensitive, confidential, and diplomatic.

The successful candidate is self-motivated and works well with minimal direction, produces consistently high quality work, contributes extra effort needed to complete assigned tasks when circumstances hinder progress and demonstrates scheduling flexibility. Ability to think critically and creatively to problem solve, ability to lead, manage and support multiple programs and priorities, experience in project management and quantitative data analysis. Familiarity and comfort with databases, reporting and Microsoft Excel. Experience and knowledge of education technology including computer-based education and e-learning is a plus.

Compensation Detail: Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $1948.00, based on a full-time position.
