Responsibilities: Organizational Relationships: Receives direction from principal investigator, supervisor, or other staff involved in the research project. Gives direction to and works cooperatively with other research staff in own and related areas. Interacts with various departments within the institution as well as with contact outside the institution. Interacts with study participants, other study centers, and sponsoring companies to resolve problems and ensure efficient completion of research data. Position Overview: Analyzes and develops a study protocol. Manages all phases of studies. Serves as an expert resource and mentors other internal and external study/protocol personnel. Troubleshoots and resolves problems and contributes significantly to discussions on research study design, overall project management, and study results. Participates in designing, organizing, and monitoring protocols including budge elements. Writes sections of grant applications, abstracts/posters, and manuscripts. Participates in the education of staff in areas required to carry out the protocol.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a business, science or healthcare field required with a minimum of one year experience in a clinical research setting or related field Completion of Mayo Clinic competency based assessment program will be required within one year of hire.


Additional Qualifications: Graduate or diploma from a study coordinator training program is preferred. Medical terminology course preferred.

License or Certification: SoCRA or ARCP certification is preferred.

Compensation Detail: Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $20.81 per hour.
