Job Description:

We currently have an opportunity for a part time Administrative Technical Assistant at our St. Paul Wabasha St Clinic. This position provides a wide variety of administrative and technical computer support for clinic administration, management team, providers and staff.

Schedule: Monday through Friday 9:00am – 1:00pm

Accountabilities:

*

Complete, provide and handle confidential administrative support for administration, management teams, providers, and staff.

*

Provide direct computer support for Administration and management teams.

*

Prepare reports and other documents, including tables, graphs, memos as needed and directed.

*

Answer telephones, route calls and take messages.

*

Sort and distribute mail.

*

Coordinate and schedule meetings and appointments for designated staff and departmental committees.

*

Filing and copying duties.

*

Fill in for Clinic Assistants as needed by providing quality customer service, checking patients in/out, handling co-pays, scheduling appointments, and completing patient registration process

Required Testing:

*

45 wpm typing test

*

Alpha-numeric data entry test - 4,000 keystrokes

*

Medical Terminology test

Required Qualifications:

*

High School diploma or GED

*

Meets one of the following:

*

Graduate of a formal training program in medical reception, an equivalent program, or a customer service program

*

Two years experience as a medical receptionist

*

Two years experience in a customer service position

*

One year experience using data look-up and data entry functions on a mainframe or PC based computer system

*

One year customer service experience either via telephone or in-person within the last five years

*

Demonstrated ability to organize work under pressure

*

Demonstrated ability to function with multiple priorities and interruptions

*

Excellent oral communication skills

*

Excellent written communication skills

*

Computer experience – three years personal computer experience.

*

Experience in creating and working with spreadsheets, graphs and graphics with an in-depth knowledge of such computer software as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint or comparable applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

*

Some post-secondary computer coursework

*

Ability to balance a variety of assignments simultaneously

*

Experience in office setting providing administrative support.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time. A Minimal amount of manual dexterity, normal hearing and close visual perception are required. Must be able to speak, read and write English.
