The Institute for Biomedical Sciences is seeking to fill a new non-tenure track faculty position at the Research Assistant Professor level. Responsibilities include supervising and providing specialized technical assistance to the laboratory personnel, performing research experiments, and assisting in the writing and submission of research grants to extramural funding agencies.

Qualified individuals must have a Ph.D. degree or equivalent in Immunology or Pathology, and extensive post-doctoral training and research experience in intestinal inflammation and metabolism, including broad expertise in mouse models of colitis and metabolic syndrome. Applicants should possess the expertise for a wide variety of in vivo experiments such as histological methodologies including single/double/triple immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry in analyzing inflammatory parameters in various mouse models of inflammation and metabolism. The successful candidate will also need experience in hands-on teaching of laboratory techniques. The successful candidate is also expected to establish an independent research program.
