 Req. ID: 96926 Job Title: Market Research Analyst – Finance Strategy GroupAs a Market Research Analyst in the Finance Strategy Group (FSG) at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for activities related to competitive benchmarking, supply and demand modeling, and market research.  Your primary responsibilities will be managing the collection, analysis and distribution of information relating to competitor intelligence. This includes summarizing competitor reported financial results, benchmarking Micron against competitors and maintaining competitor cost forecasts.  You will also be responsible for presenting this material to business partners, senior management and addressing follow up action items.  In this role, you will also participate in ad hoc analysis requests by gathering and analyzing required information, and delivering desired results.  Responsibilities and Tasks                       Monitor and Summarize Competitor Results and Maintain Financial Benchmarking Metrics
    Collect and analyze competitor quarterly financial results and distribute findings to Micron stakeholdersWork with FSG team members to validate competitor assumptions for revenue, COGS, bit output, etc. against other internal modelsBenchmark Micron against competitors for key financial metrics like cost per unit and average selling price per unit
 Design, Develop and Maintain Complex Models for Projecting Competitors Costs and Financial Performance
    Leverage industry knowledge and internal company intelligence to build and maintain robust semiconductor memory competitor cost forecast modelsRegularly meet with business partners to validate model assumptionsDesign models to ensure flexibility, ease of maintenance, and data integritySimplify outputs to create concise and distinctive summaries
 Manage Relationships with Internal/External Customers and Stakeholders
    Facilitate meetingsPresent data summaries to enable decision makingProvide action item follow upSupport alignment of internal customer groupsCollaborate with internal business partners and third-party vendors to obtain relevant informationManage ad hoc requests by clarifying requirements, coordinating resources, providing updates and delivering results
 Individual Requirements
    Investment banking, investment research, private equity, corporate finance, or financial analysis experience preferredStrong financial modeling experience preferred / highly proficient with Excel and PowerPointBA/BS or equivalent required. Business, finance, accounting, engineering, or economics preferredProgress toward or completion of CFA / MBA beneficialStrong interpersonal and communication skillsCapable of working under tight deadlinesSelf-starter capable of seeing a project through from inception to completionAbility to work independently and cross functionallyDetail orientatedCustomer focused, with a desire to exceed expectations
