AGCO is currently seeking a Data Scientist III to join our Information Technology team in Duluth, GA. The Data Scientist III will be responsible for the development and deployment of modern machine learning, operational research, semantic analysis, and statistical methods for finding structure in large data sets. Additionally, the Data Scientist III will use that data to create business value and deliver better products and services for our customers. Note: Relocation assistance is available to the Duluth area for this position. Responsibilities of the Data Scientist III
    Lead the design of architecture and enabling technologies strategy for Advanced Analytics domainDesign, build and deploy high-performance prediction and optimization algorithms to solve business problems and facilitate new digital applicationsGather data from various source systems/databases. Cleanse, transform and prepare data ahead of analysis & data-mining phaseCommunicate analysis and resulting recommendations to senior management using rich visualization tools and leverage data to present a compelling business case to optimize decisionsPerform exploratory data analysis, generate and test working hypotheses, and uncover noteworthy trends & relationshipsApply machine learning techniques on variety of datasets to build & enhance predictive models.Advocate, evangelize and build data-fueled products that help our customers improve their salesProvide expertise on mathematical concepts for the broader applied analytics team and inspire the adoption of advanced analytics and data science across the entire our organization. Research, design, implement and validate cutting-edge algorithms to analyze diverse sources of data to achieve targeted outcomes.
 Required Qualifications of the Data Scientist III:
    A minimum of 3 years of experience building models with statistics programming languages like Python, R, SAS or SQLA minimum of 2 years of experience bringing prototypes to production on Hadoop and/or other NoSQL platformsA minimum of 2 years of experience building dashboards and reports using visualization software such as Tableau and QlikviewAbility to build scalable systems to analyze huge data sets and make actionable recommendationsExpert understanding of predictive modeling concepts, machine-learning approaches, clustering and classification techniques, recommendation and optimization algorithms
 Preferred Qualifications of the Data Scientist III:
    Experience working with parts or warranty claimsPh.D degree in a quantitative discipline
 Education of the Data Scientist III:
    Master’s degree in operations research, applied statistics, data mining, or related quantitative discipline
