Role Summary/Purpose: GE’s Corporate Compliance team is seeking a qualified candidate to work for its HQ compliance function which oversees over 900 compliance & ombuds leaders. GE’s award-winning compliance program is responsible for developing & implementing GE’s compliance strategy, & promoting GE’s integrity culture across, 8 business divisions ranging from Aviation engines to Healthcare to Oil & Gas, & 175 countries worldwide. The Fellowship is a year-long, full-time program in Boston, MA.
Essential Responsibilities: The Fellow will work with the Chief Compliance Director, global compliance teams, & leaders of GE’s businesses.
The Fellow will also:
    Conduct research and support analysis, preparation and follow-up for a wide range of presentations and compliance reviews with senior executivesTasks include synthesis of external enforcement trends and evaluation of internal compliance metricsSupport a broad range of compliance and ombuds communications activities, including development of employee-, manager- and external- facing messaging; and functional compliance updatesHelp maintain and improve content on GE Corporate Compliance websites; identify opportunities to better use technology and social media to accelerate information sharing within GE’s compliance communityWork with the Global Compliance Training Center of Excellence on projects to develop more efficient, effective and engaging compliance trainingHelp facilitate periodic risk assessments and work with Corporate Compliance team to identify/address program trends and emerging risks, identify program gaps, and share best practicesConduct investigations of potential compliance violations, for example Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and insider trading cases.Execute other special projects as needed, including assistance on annual priorities, external outreach, pro bono projects, and development of new compliance tools and/or programs to address business needs and emerging risks
Qualifications/Requirements:
    Law school graduate with Juris Doctor (JD)One year, full time (40 hours/week) commitment GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening.
